Purchasing new hardware means one thing is certain. You are going to have to connect a new device to your internet. Whether it is WiFi or Ethernet cable several things could be wrong either on the computer or on your WiFi router. If you go through all of the troubleshooting steps below, even if you have devices that are connected and working, you may need to contact your router manufacturer for more help. Let's get started.
*DISCLAIMER: Thermaltake Support cannot guarantee what exact model your motherboard will be outside of doing a physical check of your system as motherboard installed on the LCGS systems are subject to market availability. Images and exact instructions from this guide may be different from your own based off the motherboard of your system.
WiFi
The first thing to make sure, even before you turn on your computer is to make sure your WiFi antennas are plugged into the motherboard. Amongst the extra pieces you will receive with your LCGS system, will be a pair of antennas that look like below. Most of the time they come in pairs, you can tell by looking at the motherboard connection, if you have two fittings, then you have two antennas.

Example 2
Once the antennas are plugged in and you are on your desktop try to connect to your WiFi. If you can't connect try one of the potential fixes.
1. Double-check that your WiFi password is correct. It can be on the router itself on a sticker, or, if you use another device you can log into your router to check the password that way.
2. Go to your device manager and make sure your WiFi drivers are up to date. You will need to plug in an ethernet cable temporarily to do this. (See below instructions).
3. Go to Settings > Network and Internet > Change Adapter Settings. Make sure that the WiFi adapter is enabled by right-clicking over the icon. If it says disable, then it is currently enabled.
If you go through these steps and you still can't connect, or, you are connected but do not have internet access, contact your router manufacturer.
Ethernet
The first thing you will want to make sure is that you are plugging your ethernet cable into the right port. Below you will see both the router side port and the computer side port. Connecting this way is usually a guarantee to get internet access and sometimes is needed to get through the initial setup process if you can't connect to the WiFi.
Ethernet port on Motherboard
Ethernet port on Router
If you are connected via an Ethernet cable to the ports example above, and still are not getting internet access there are only a few things to check.
1. First make sure that the computer and router recognize that a cable is plugged in. It should look like below. If you do not have that icon, see if the router has an icon that indicates connection. If not, proceed to next steps.
2. Make sure that the cable is good. Make sure there are no cuts, kinks, or major bends in the cable. Replace the cable if any of these issues are present.
3. Make sure that the ethernet is enabled by going to Settings > Network and Internet > Change adapter settings. Right-click over the ethernet port and make sure it is enabled. If it says disable, it is currently enabled.
If you go through these steps, and the internet is still not working, call your router manufacturer.
These are basic steps to go through the self-check your internet issues. If you go through these and contact your router company and they cannot resolve the issue, you may have defective hardware. If you do, contact our Technical Support team so we can either do further troubleshooting or start an RMA for you.
