Frequently Asked Questions regarding LCGS's 1 Year Limited: Warranty
Question: "I'm just wondering if I can buy a GPU that is the same color (white), same OC feature and pretty much everything without my warranty getting voided?"
-
We can only warranty the components that come WITH the prebuilt. Meaning if there is any issue stemming from a product that was upgraded (i.e. was not the original product upon which the prebuilt system was made from) will not be covered.
An example of this is if, hypothetically, said GPU has a malfunction with its power cables or you used 12VHPWR adapters that came with the GPU you purchased, and it fried the motherboard and/or PSU, this would not be under the scope of the warranty and will not be covered and would void warranty for the whole system as an external component caused the damage and we cannot determine the full extent of the damages. External here meaning not the original component.
Question: "I'm wondering if I don't ask for LCGS's permission for upgrading my system, will my warranty get voided?"
-
The product is yours to upgrade without the need of our permission. The product is legally yours, as it was purchased to be under your ownership. Warranty will not be voided. The only thing of note is related to what is mentioned above. If the changed component is the cause of damage, or the cause does not stem from one of the original components, then the warranty would be void.
An example of this situation is if hypothetically, this time, the originally installed PSU damaged the original motherboard. But you've already upgraded your GPU. Just because your GPU is different from the originally installed component, does not mean we do not cover the other components that were still part of the original installation.
